At Port Macquarie Pickleball Club we provide adaptive rules, inclusive venues and opportunities for integrated programs and events. This enables true inclusivity for pickleball players with physical, intellectual and cognitive limitations and disabilities, and opens doors to dedicated para pickleball programs and events.
If mobility is an issue, please speak with one of our coaches or hosts and ask for a silicone wrist band. Players wearing our wrist bands start each play with the two bounce rule, but may then play under the Two-Bounce Allowance which states a player may allow the ball to bounce twice before returning the ball. The second bounce can be anywhere on the playing surface.
Adaptive rules help us welcome as many people as possible to pickleball, and give them the opportunity to get moving, make friends and have fun at our club.
Our indoor courts are wheelchair accessible, and there’s parking, a cafe and bathrooms with showers onsite.
We look forward to meeting you at our club and welcoming you into our community.
There are competitive pickleball events in NSW and around Australia available to players with disabilities. If you or someone you know has a disability and is interested in social or competitive pickleball, please CONTACT US for more information.
